Toldo arrives in a Vespa Padova, (July 9, 2000, Kataweb) -- After the high emotions he gave to the Italian fans in the Euro 2000 semifinal against Holland, Francesco Toldo surprised his thousand admirers when he arrived at the church for his wedding to Manuela Pozza, on a grey Vespa. His brotherly friend, Siro was riding the motocycle and he was sitting behind, smiling and all excited. The St. Nicolo church in Padova was open to over a hundred guests invited by Toldo. Among them are teammates, Mareggini, Adani, Bressan and Rossitto and friends and relatives of the two families. Absent are Trapattoni and Dino Zoff, despite their confirmation that they will come. Toldo owes alot to the two trainers for the definitive consecration. The crowd present at the church's square has created some problem for the guests to enter the church. Banners can be seen posted on the walls of nearby buildings, obviously from the two viola clubs of Padova and Lamporecchi. Delegations from both clubs are also present. The bride arrives at the church in a more traditional way in a white Jaguar. Dressed in white with studded sequins and holding a bouquet of tulips. The wedding ceremony is solemnized by a priest from Toreglia, Mr. Paolo Bettin, whom Toldo has become friends with since he was a teenager.
