Toldo reportedly set to join Barcelona ROME, May 25 (Reuters)(DS) - Italy goalkeeper Francesco Toldo is set to leave Fiorentina for Barcelona, according to Italian media reports. ANSA news agency said Toldo was poised to sign a four-year contract with the Catalans worth around 50 billion lire ($22.15 million) for the Florence club and an annual salary of between seven and eight billion lire. Gazzetta dello Sport earlier put the transfer fee at 60 billion lire and said the deal would be announced by the end of this week. Toldo, who has been at Fiorentina eight seasons, made his name with a series of imposing performances during the European championship in June, particularly in Italy's penalty shoot-out defeat of the Dutch in the semifinals. He said last month he expected to be sold at the end of the season but insisted he wanted to remain in Italy and ruled out a move to Barcelona. ($1=2257.3 Lire)
