Sensi refuels Toldo remours

(Planet Soccer) - ROMA supremo Franco Sensi has once more stated that Antonio Cassano will be a member of The Lupi in the coming season, and will be joined by a 'great goalie' - refuelling rumours that Francesco Toldo will leave Fiorentina for Rome.

"Roma will be reinforced," said Sensi on Italian television, "On the horizon lie both Cassano and a great goalie."

Toldo has been a target of Sensi for some seasons, and interest has steadily increased since the giant custodian emerged as one of the heroes of Euro 2000.

Cassano's move away from Bari has become somewhat farcical - with Sensi already declaring that a deal was done before the youngster himself denied he had signed anything.

However, Roma are still firm favourites to snap up the Italian Under-21 international, with Sensi adding that he had received positive news from senior official Antonio Matarrese.

"I have talked several times with Mattarese on the phone, and he called to tell me that the player wants a move to Roma.

"'So tell him to join us,' I told him. 'Tell him that my Lira is worth exactly the same as Giovanni Agnelli's.'

"It isn't a case of my Lira being worth 0.8 and Agnelli's being worth 1.1!"
