Toldo and Rui Costa show their confidence in Fiorentina

FRANCESCO TOLDO and Rui Costa have both signed new deals with
Fiorentina, after president Vittorio Cecchi Gori persuaded the pair to stay in Florence.

Toldo, 29, has signed a new five year which will keep him at the Artemio Franchi until 2005, 
whilst Rui Costa has put pen to paper on a four year deal.

"I am convinced that Fiorentina will be a great team," said Toldo. "Cecchi Gori has 
demonstrated a great confidence to me and I will repay it in field."

The Viola supremo Cecchi Gorri was delighted to have completed the
negotiations, and revealed that it only took an hour.

"They have finally listened - it was explained and this is all I had demanded for a long 
time," said Cecchi Gorri. "An hour is all that it took and they are happy to stay in Florence."
